In the 60’s and 70’s it was a taboo to have inter tribal marriages in Nigeria. In fact we thought it would exist in our lifetime. The Biafra war had ended with lots of bitterness, unforgiveness and talk of betrayal. The tension of people from some ethnic group living in the same compound was that of victimization and verbal abuse and bullying.
